Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Adela Ortiz Villarreal peacefully passed away on August 7, 2023. She was born on May 19, 1930 in Santa Maria, Texas. She was married to Marcos Villarreal for almost 70 years until his passing two years ago. Throughout her life, mom's faith guided her, family fulfilled her and work strengthened her. Her love for family was deep and she has taken this love with her. We will cherish our visits, talks and good times with her; we will miss her greatly. She is survived by her children, David Villarreal, Dalia Squires(Bill), and Dina Townsend(Kendall), grandchildren Phillip Squires, Amanda Squires(Carlos),  Monica Villarreal, Adam Villarreal, David Villarreal Jr., Blake Townsend (Haley), Brandon Townsend, and great grandchildren Braelynn Rosales, Frank Rosales, Cash Townsend and Elizabeth Townsend. She was predeceased by her husband Marcos Villarreal.

A time of viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 10:00am to 5:00pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, WA.

A graveside service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Hawthorne Memorial Park, Mount Vernon, WA. Please join the family for a time of reception following the service.
