IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alejandro
Salinas
January 4, 1948 – October 13, 2020
Alejandro "Alex" Salinas, 72, was called home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Providence Medical Center. For 19 days the Doctors and nurses took excellent care to make sure he was comfortable and well cared for. We are thankful for their compassion and dedication. They did their job well.
Alex was born in Asherton, Texas on January 4, 1948 to Jose and Severa Salinas but spent his entire life in Washington State.
Alex was a kind, loving and gentle husband, father and papa. His gracious spirit and generosity impacted all and any who knew him. He had a passion for fast cars and loved football, especially his hometown team, the Seahawks! He adored his 2 dogs, Diego and Sissy and they adored him!
When Alex met Jean in 1973 he already had his son, Alex Jr and Jean had her daughter, Jody. They combined their families and married in April 1978. Together they had sons Jeremy in 1979 and Jamie (who died 24hours after birth) in 1984. They were married for 42 years and together for 47. They lived and raised their family in Marysville, WA.
As a young man of 22 he began his career at Scott Paper Co/ Kimberly Clark. He worked there for 35 years before retiring in 2005 at the age of 57. He then continued to pursue his calling as a minister of the faith!
Alex dedicated his adult life to serving his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Once he gave his life to the Lord, was baptized and filled with The Holy Spirit, he never looked back! He was a founding member of Casa de Dios Puerta del Cielo, Iglesia Apostolic Misionera along with his 3 brothers, Reynaldo, Jose and Albert. He served alongside his brothers and eventually after many years of servanthood in the apostolic faith, advanced to a ministerial position under his pastor and brother, Reynaldo Salinas. In 2008 Alex was designated the Pastor of his church where he lead his congregation faithfully until the day he went home to be with Jesus!
Alex is preceded in death by his son; Jamie Lee, parents; Jose and Severa Salinas, sisters; Eluteria Juarez and Mary Ruiz, brothers; Reynaldo, Jose and Albert Salinas and many precious relatives and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Jean, his sons Alex Jr (Amber), Jeremy and daughter, Jody (Bill), his grandchildren, Alex III, Caitlin, Brandie, Brandon, Levi, Koda, Miranda (Jake), Luke, Kalen, Avery, Severa, one great grandchild, Octavia and 2 sisters; Gregoria Ortiz and Elisabeth Maes.
