Anna passed on December 29th, 2013 into the place she dreamt of since she was a small child, the arms of a loving Father. She was 84 years old and lived a full life sadly truncated by Parkinson's disease. Her last days were spent at Mt Glen Retirement Community where she was loved and well cared for and visited by many family and friends regularly.Born in Sylva, North Carolina on May 17, 1929 to Walter and Mae Sherrill she was the youngest of 3 children. Her mother died when she was less than a year old and her father worked hard to keep the family together until he passed when she was 11 years old. Loving family took her in and she credits them for the many kindnesses they showed. She attended Crossnore School in the mountains of North Carolina. There she learned her demure poise, housekeeping and sense of clothing style that she kept throughout her years. In 1948, after graduating from Canton High School she chose to venture westward to Washington State with Uncle Reverend C.H. And Aunt Mable Green where they settled in Skagit County. It was there she met and married Alex Eaton of Prosser, WA in April 30, 1954. Over the next 35 years they followed Alex's career living in La Grand, OR, Marysville, WA, Roanoke, VA, Overland Park, KS. At each place they made life long friends and memories. Together they had two sons: Mark, who makes his home in Skagit County and Oklahoma and Scott, who teaches University level courses in South Korea. They retired to Mount Vernon, WA in 1982. When Alex passed in 1989, Anna spent time with close friends, family and supporting her grandchildren's activities. She made trips to Japan, France, Israel and visited relatives in North Carolina. Anna was known for her laughter and light spirit. She was an avid Sunday School teacher at Calvary Baptist Church in Burlington where she was also a Charter Member. She collected beautiful teacup sets and had a wonderful collection that her family cherishes. She is survived by sons, Mark T. Eaton of Mt Vernon and wife Susie McEntire-Eaton of Oklahoma, Scott W.
