Anna Beth McKay a long time resident of Skagit County passed away on December 31, 2013 Anna Beth was born on November 6, 1925. She was one of 10 children born to Fred and Addie Paschal in Parsons, Kansas.Anna Beth met George W. McKay on the battleship U.S.S. California in 1943 and they were married Jan. 22, 1944. They moved to Mount Vernon in 1946 and lived in Mount Vernon and Burlington ever since.They had three children Judith Mary Sauer, husband Joe Sauer from Big Lake, WA, Edward William McKay, wife Marsha McKay from Joyce, WA, Richard Allen McKay, wife Eiren McKay from Clear Lake, WA and Anna Beth's brother Claire Paschal resides in Port Hadlock.Anna Beth was preceded in death by her parents, eight of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband George, all three children, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.There will be a viewing Friday, Jan. 10 from 10:00 am 5:00 pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home.There will be a graveside service at Hawthorne Memorial Park, Saturday, Jan. 11 at 10:00 am. Following a Memorial Service at Calvary Baptist Church, in Burlington at 11:00 am. A reception will be held, with finger foods where you can share your memories of Anna Beth. Donations and memorials maybe made to Alzheimers Association or your favorite charity .The family would like to thank the staff of Birchview Memory Care Center of Sedro-Woolley, for their loving care. -
