Tony was soon joined by his sister Kimberly Ann on March 4th, 1971 and brother Jeffery Alan on June 2nd, 1975. Tony attended schools in Sedro?Woolley graduating June 10th, 1987 from Sedro?Woolley High School where he ran cross country and played soccer and tennis. After graduation, Tony entered the University of Washington. After attending one quarter, he returned to join the Sedro?Woolley Fire Department as a volunteer where he stayed until February 1990. At that time Tony enlisted in United States Navy. He left for basic training in Orlando, Florida in March 1990 where he attended "A" School. Tony entered the Naval Nuclear Program and graduated from Nuclear Power School in March 1991. He opted to enter the submarine service and was stationed in Idaho Falls, Idaho for proto type school where he worked with nuclear reactors. He was then sent to the Point Loma submarine base in San Diego, California for three years. He lived in an apartment a couple of blocks from the Ocean Beach pier. Tony enjoyed swimming to the end of the pier often as part of his rigorous exercise routine. Also while stationed at Point Loma he was sent out to sea on two West Pacs where he was able to visit Japan, Australia, Guam, New Caledonia and many other countries. Tony loved the water and earned his scuba diving certification while in Guam so he could experience life under the sea. Tony's colorful stories about his diving experiences inspired his brother Jeff to obtain his scuba certification as well. His last navy assignment was Honolulu, Hawaii where he received an early discharge after the decommissioning of his Sturgeon Class fast attack submarine the USS Drum in November 1995. While home on leave Tony became reacquainted with Whitney McCann whom he married on July 4th, 1996. Shortly after Tony and Whitney moved to Des Moines, WA, Tony decided to return to school for a degree in Chemical Engineering . While working at Boeing Commercial Aircraft Co. from May 1996 thru October 1999, Tony attended Highline Community College. He graduated with honors in the Fall of 1998. On June 4th, 1999, to Tony's great joy, his son Jackson Anthony was born. Tony then entered the University of Washington where he received the R.W. Moulton Scholarship Award in 2001 and 2002 and the Ronald K Benson Scholarship Award for Chemical Engineering in 2002 and 2003. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in June 2003. Tony and his family moved to Snohomish, WA in October 1999 where Whitney had obtained a job as an administrator at Snohomish High School. While living in Snohomish, Tony's daughter, his little girl, Molly Catherine was born September 4th, 2001. Tony was so happy with his family and was always there for his children. Jack and Molly were the true pride and joy of his life. In June 2003 Tony began working as a civilian at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility. His family purchased a home on three acres overlooking the beautiful Hood Canal. Tony was an avid long distance runner and ran many half marathons on his own and with his brother Jeff. Tony was a member of Engineers without Borders and was actively planning to build a fresh water treatment and delivery system in Guanajuato Mexico. He loved singing and started taking voice lessons in 2009. Tony shared a great love of 80's rock music with his sister Kim, brother?in law John and brother Jeff. They attended many concerts together. Tony was incredibly proud of his daughter Molly as she excelled at playing the piano. Tony greatly enjoyed volunteering as Assistant Scout Master for his son Jack's Boy Scout Troop, where one of their favorite activities was bicycling. Tony had also recently started snow boarding with both Jack and Molly. Tony was a very intelligent man. He was always reading and had an incredible and genuine thirst for knowledge. His bookshelves were filled with titles like "Quantum Chemistry" and "Reframing Organizations", each filled with copious notes and highlighted passages. Tony was attending Gonzaga University, where he had started a two year program to receive his Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership Degree. Above and beyond anything, Tony's happiest times were spent with his son Jack and daughter Molly. Tony is survived by his children Jackson Anthony and Molly Catherine, and wife Whitney.
