Bessie May Marcus She was born October 19, 1910 in Fontana, North Carolina to Thomas and Marinda Hayes; passed away October 27, 2006 in Mount Vernon, WA. She moved to Mount Vernon in 1938. She was preceded in death by one son, William Hayes Marcus in June of 1974. She is survived by one son: Ken (Sue) Marcus of Mount Vernon and two daughters: Louise Newman and Doris Frazier both of Mount Vernon; grandchildren: Howard (Susan) Newman, Carrie (John) Bullinger, Richard (Stacy) Frazier, Nancy (Scott) Loy, Karen Frazier, Peggy Marcus and Lisa Marcus; and 14 great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2006, 11:00 am at Hawthorne Memorial Park, followed by a Reception in the Hawthorne Reception Room.
