Betty Lou (Iverson) Young

Betty Lou Young passed away March 16, 2021 at the age of 87.

She was born in Cole Harbor, ND to Wilber and Elsie Iverson on June 22, 1933. When Betty was a young child the family moved to the Skagit Valley. Betty graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1951. After the loss of her first husband, she married Dorral Young in 1955 and settled in Burlington, WA where they raised a daughter and 2 sons. Betty was a homemaker for many years until she started  working at The Emporium clothing store. Betty held a special place in her heart for her children and grandchildren.

Betty is survived by daughter, Vicki (Richard) Leary, son, Craig (Barbara) Young and daughter-in-law, Suzanne Shea. Grandchildren, Melissa Young, Nicole (Josh) Ehrman, Michelle Young, Nathan Shea and Matthew Shea. 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren. Sister, Phyllis Ryman and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Dorral Young, son Randal Young, her parents Wilber and Elsie Iverson, brother, LeRoy Iverson and sister, Cleo Hurban.
