Obituary

Beverly Ann (Haas) Jungquist passed away December 23, 2020 surrounded by family at her home at the age of 94.

Beverly was born August 14, 1926 in Harvey, North Dakota to Lawrence Edward and Hazel (McLean) Haas.  The family moved to Woodland, CA when Bev was age 9.  At Woodland High School she enjoyed playing softball and was a drum majorette.

During her high school years she worked at the soda bar, and snack bar in the local movie theatre.  During the summer their mother would take her sister and Bev to Tahoe where she had fond memories of time spent on the shore in the sun.

After high school she went to work for the Woodland Court House and later in the office at the hardware store.

One evening Bev and sister Betty stopped at a local hangout before going to a movie there she met the love of her life, Kenneth Jungquist, a "good looking" Army Air Force Officer.  He was stationed at an Air Force Base, not far from Woodland.  After he was discharged from the service, and Ken returned to Mt. Vernon, there were several trips back and forth and one resulted in an engagement.

Beverly married Kenneth Jungquist on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1948 in a double wedding with Beverly's sister, Betty Lou and Mr. Neal Dalton Randolph in Woodland, CA.

Bev and Ken were members of Emmanuel Baptist Church for many years.  In later years, Beverly attended First Lutheran Church.  Bev and Ken were both members of the Skagit Golf and Country Club, where they finally had the time to enjoy socializing with their many friends.

Bev was passionate about cooking (lefse for holidays), sewing, gardening, golfing and for a time had "Bev's Flower Shop".  She also enjoyed travel adventures to many locations including China, Australia, Alaska, Mexico, and several cruises. No matter where she went she was always impeccably dressed.

After their retirement Bev and Ken bought a winter home in Scottsdale, Arizona.  During the time there they met many new friends and referred to them as their Arizona family.  Their children would all come to visit them for golf and swimming during the winter months.  On Valentines Day 1998 all their family and friends gathered there to celebrate the 50 th anniversary of their double wedding ceremony.  It was a glorious time and very well attended.

Beverly is survived by her four children,
