Obituary

Carl Eugene Crawford was born to Harley and Helene Crawford on December 6, 1934 in Escondido, California. He was the fifth of five children, and was born minutes after his twin sister Carol. He passed away June 4, 2015, from an extended illness, surrounded by his loving family. He worked as a civil engineer for the state of California for many years, with a few years spent in Safford, Arizona. He was married to Genevieve Webster Crawford for 40 years before she passed away from cancer. They were very involved in their local church and community. In 1997 he met and married Donnajean Dickson and retired to Mt Vernon Washington. He was a very devoted member of the North Cascade Seventh-day Adventist Church, in Burlington, Washington, and worked tirelessly to support Skagit Adventist Academy. He and Donnajean were volunteers on many domestic and international Maranatha mission building projects. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Genevieve Alta Crawford and his brothers Harley and Warren. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Donnajean Crawford, his children Cindy (Michael)Greene, Gary (LeAnn ) Crawford, Lisa (Kevin) Nolen, Paul (Jennifer) Dickson, Tricia (Peter) Low and Jill (Dan) Boudreau, twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, his sisters Audrey (Fred) Schippmann and Carol (Vern) Smith, multiple nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Skagit Adventist Academy Student Assistance Fund. A Memorial Celebration will be held Sunday, June 7, 2015, 5:00 p.m. at North Cascade Seventh-Day Adventist Church 800 Peacock Lane in Burlington
