Obituary

Charles "Chuck" Hiscock, age 85 passed away May 05, 2008 in Burlington. He was born September 09, 1922 in Oakland, CA to his parent Ralph and Sophie Hiscock. He grew up in Oakland, CA and was schooled in Berkley. He entered the Army Air Corp in 1943 and served his Country for 4 years. He then owned a gas station in Hayward, CA for a short time and then went to work for the US Government as a Quality Control/ Material Inspector which he retired from in 1967. He married Marie in 1989 and they enjoyed many years traveling with friends. He was a Past Master of Burlington Lodge No. 254 and member of Camanio Lodge No. 19, F. & A.M., and Served as Deputy of the Grand Master in District No. 9. Life Member of the Mt. Baker Chapter No. 50 Order of Eastern Star. He was a Shriner and member of Skagit Valley Shrine Club, NARFE and Veterans of Foreign war. He is survived by his wife Marie Hiscock; 2 daughters by previous marriage Gail Hardy of Paradise CA and Judy Bennett of Paul, ID; 2 Grandsons Tom and Kenneth Bennett of California and 10 Great-Grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 09, 2008, 1:00pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home 1825 E College Way in Mount Vernon with Pastor Ron Deegan officiating followed by Masonic Services and reception to follow in the Hawthorne Reception Room.
