Charmian Claire Mason was born to Warren David and Mamie Florence (Watkins) Parker. She passed from this world at 85 years old. Her family and friends called her Charm. She was born at home in Chacora, FL on a 140-acre orange grove. She had eight brothers and sisters.
Charm lived in South Carolina and Oregon but for most of her life she lived in FL. She had lived in Mount Vernon, WA since 1999. Charm spent 55 years of her life as caregiver to her special needs daughter Vicky. She was dedicated and devoted to Vicky's care, needs and comfort. Vicky's long full life is Charm's legacy.
She was a southern lady with a beautiful smile. She maintained her dignity to the end. Always immaculately dressed in her own style and pizazz, usually in red, her favorite color. Her love of hats was her trademark and her collection was quite impressive. Her size 4 shoe collection was as notable as her hats. She was constantly being stopped in public with compliments.
She enjoyed decorating her home and could honestly transform almost anything into something beautiful and a unique piece of art. Plants thrived for her and her home was always filled with lush green life. Cooking good old fashion southern food was a special love. Junking at local garage sales/thrift stores and frequenting casinos was her favorite pastimes.
Her uncanny ability to laugh at life's hardships came easily. She was a survivor that raised three children basically on her own. She was a do-it-yourself woman, a Jill of All Trades.
She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, brothers; Warren (Dot), Ray, GE (Nona), Burt, sisters; Dell (Pete), Lil (Theo), Faye (Buddy), Ann and daughter Vicky. She is survived by her son, Bobby of FL, her daughter, Trel, son-in-law, Kim, Grandson Kyle, Granddaughter Char of Stanwood, WA, Sister-in-laws, Donna of Charlotte, NC and Veda of Tampa, FL and numerous nieces and nephews scattered across the United States.
