Cindy Rae Reed, age 76, of Mount Vernon, Washington passed away peacefully at home on April 17th, 2024. Cindy was born on February 19th, 1948 to Whit and Dorothy Frees in Spirt Lake, Iowa. The family moved from Sprit Lake to Washington when Cindy was still very young. In her late teens Cindy and her parents moved up to Lake Cavanaugh, they were one of only a few families that lived at the lake full time. She graduated from Sedro Woolley high school, where she met the love of her life Larry Reed. They were married in 1966 and have resided in Mt. Vernon their entire marriage. Cindy attended Beauty school after high school and became a hair dresser for many years before retiring. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings, golfing, road trips in the RV to music festivals, and annual trips to Pearrygin lake with friends.

Cindy will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Whit and Dorothy Frees, and her sister Sharon Timss.

She is survived by her husband Larry Reed, sister Sally Nelson, her nieces Stacy Lockhart, Darcy Uphaus and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. As well as her beloved dogs, Scout and Bailey.
