Obituary

Clayton Conrad Sibley, age 63 passed away suddenly on January 9, 2018. He was born on January 15, 1954 in Mount Vernon, WA to Donald & Genevieve Sibley, Clayton was the youngest of 4 children.

Clayton met his wife Rhonda, the love of his life, and were married July 26, 1975. They had been married 42 years and during that time they had 2 children; Jonathan and Tamara.  Then along came 3 grandchildren; Haley, Tessa and Landon, whom he dearly loved.

Growing up, Clayton helped out on the family farm, worked in the fields, drove pea viner for Twin City Foods and after graduating from High School he was hired on at Texaco Refinery where he worked for 41 ½ years and was on the fire department.

Some of Clayton's favorite hobbies were fishing, hunting, gardening, riding quads and driving his race car.

Clayton enjoyed getting together with family and friends, holidays and BBQ's were his favorites.

Clayton was a member of the Mount Vernon Salem Lutheran Church.

Clayton is survived by his wife; Rhonda Sibley, son; Jonathan Sibley, daughter; Tamara Sibley, grandchildren; Haley, Landon and Tessa, sisters; Cherralee (John) Hoover and Cherri (Mike) Aiken, sister in-law; Dianna Sibley, nephews, nieces, Aunt Maxine Shroyer and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother; Stanley Sibley.

Clayton was compassionate, kindhearted and everyone liked him.

A Memorial Reception will be held Monday, January 29, 2018, 2:00pm at Hawthorne Reception Room in Mount Vernon.
