Crystal Mae Nokleby age 78, passed away August 1, 2013 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was born January 29, 1935 in Mount Vernon to John and Mabel Rindal and grew up on the family farm on Fir Island. She attended Conway Grade School and graduated from Mount Vernon, High School. Crystal wed Bill Nokleby, the love of her life, in 1952 and were married for over 60 years. She started her working career at the Triple XXX Barrel. She also worked at the Bulldog Den and in the cafeteria at Skagit Valley Hospital retiring from there in 1996. Crystal enjoyed going to Country Music shows, having made several trips to Branson,Missouri, shopping with her girls, attending her grandkids sporting events and spending time with her family and friends.Crystal loved to bake cookies and you could always count on her having a freezer full of Bon Bons, everyone's favorite. She also was an avid M.I. Hummel collector. She is survived by her husband Bill Nokleby, 2 daughters Susan (Steve) Miller of SedroWoolley and Sheri (Darwin) Stafford of Burlington, 2 grandchildren Jennifer (Brad) Stallings of Sedro Woolley and Jason Miller of Kenmore, 2 great grandchildren Landon and Beckham Stallings,. brother Jerry (Mildred) Rindal of Conway , sister Darlene (Clarence) Forman of Industry, Illinois and her aunt Esther Porter of Everett, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mabel Rindal. Memorial may be made in Crystal's name to a charity of your choice. An Entombment Service will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at The Hawthorne Memorial Park Mausoleum with a reception to follow in the Hawthorne Reception Room.
