Obituary

Dale Irvine was born in Seattle to Thomas and Julia Irvine on November 21, 1937.  As a teenager, Dale took on a neighborhood Seattle Times newspaper route.  This led to a 50-year career in the newspaper industry.  Starting as a customer service representative.  Dale worked his way up to home delivery manager for the Seattle Times, overseeing 3,000 kids delivering 200,000 newspapers each day.

After retiring from the Times, Dale took the position as circulation director at Skagit Valley Publishing, which brought Dale to La Conner and Skagit Valley.  Dale was past president for the Kiwanis Club of La Conner and past president for the Northwest International Circulation Executives.  Dale was a volunteer math tutor at Washington School for 20 plus years, helping kids learn and love math.

Dale's sister, Dawn McCallum, recently passed, but he is survived by many cousins and Dawn's family who loved him as part of their own.  He is buried at Hawthorne Memorial Park in Mount Vernon.
