IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel Goodman
Moore
January 18, 1982 – December 25, 2021
Daniel Goodman Moore aka Uncle Danny
Date of Death: December 25, 2021, in Mt. Vernon, Washington
Date of Birth: January 18, 1982, in Redmond, Washington
Daniel grew up and attended school in the Bellevue area. In his early years in school, he was involved in Marching and Jazz Band and played 2 nd chair Trombone. He was also involved in the "Natural Helpers" program in school. He had a gift for making people feel comfortable and was someone other kids could relate to. He seemed to be drawn to people who were hurting.
Daniel worked in the restaurant industry off and on from an early age and his gift was undoubtedly customer service. He loved all things computer related and was like a sponge learning everything he could about building/repairing and selling computers. He spent much of his free time in the local computer store just observing and asking as many questions as he could. He was mentored by the manager at "Computer Renaissance" in Bellevue and at age 14 they asked permission to hire him as he was already a value in this environment. They were amazed that a boy of 14 could relate to customers of all ages and sell computers to fit every need. He was employed there 3 years working at different locations and did quite a bit of the repair work that came in.
Growing up Daniel was exposed to many eras of music, and he appreciated them all. He had D.J. equipment and happily played different venues. From an early age Daniel loved all things Christmas, especially the lights!
His love for computers moved him into technical computer support and Audio/Visual work. Daniel moved to Salem, Oregon at age 19 to take a position with Willamette University. His work there involved Audio /Visual for the classrooms.
He moved back to the Woodinville area with the intention of going to back to school. His plan was to learn to do the paint artistry for classic cars. Sadly, it was not meant to be as he was in a bad bicycle accident and had severe damage to his right elbow creating the need for a prosthetic implant. The following years bought a brain aneurysm and bilateral hip replacements. He had much to overcome in his short life.
Coming through this he was led back into the computer world once again. Daniels' health was fragile, and he was unable to work much in the last few years. He craved time in nature and his artistic gift came through in the creation of the backyard oasis that was a balm to his soul.
Daniel loved kids and although he did not have any of his own, he made a big difference in the lives of his three young nephews. "Uncle Danny" was a presence that will never be forgotten and will always be loved. Daniel and as he referred to her, "My Jaimie" had just shy of three years together and I have never heard him speak of another with the kind of love he shared with her. She loved him before and through his illness and they enjoyed their time together as much as possible. Sadly, December 25 th , 2021, he succumbed to the liver disease that plagued him for quite some time. We know Daniel that you are now in a place of absolute beauty, and we are sure that the music in this wonderful place must be something to behold. While you will always be loved and never forgotten, we are so grateful that your body no longer suffers pain, and you watch over those you love from heaven. We give thanks that you are with the Lord now and that your heavenly body remains forever healthy.
Daniel is survived by the "Love of his Life, Jaimie McGruder, his parents, David and Luella (aka Lorie) Moore, His brother, Matthew and sister-in-law, Renee and three nephews who brought him so much joy… Xander, Connor and Ezra. He is also survived by his grandmother in California, aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of the family. He has extended family in several states.
While it is true that we are born into families… true families do not always share a bloodline. Daniel is survived by many who loved him.
Daniels' final wishes were for cremation and his remains to be spread at Seaside, Oregon on a warm fall day surrounded by any friends and family who would like to be there for his send off. While Daniel was a very spiritual person, he did not want services. He rather, wanted a celebration of life, so we as his family ask that you light a candle and be thankful for the time you shared with him. He would want you all to be blessed with a quiet moment to reflect on Love and Life and how precious it is.
