Obituary

On August 27 th at the age of 68, Dar left the loving arms of her husband Wayne and their four sons, to join the arms of Jesus in heaven for eternity. Dar was born at Burlington Hospital to Wayne and Edna (Loewen) Shroll joining her sisters Donna and Dixie . She started school at Roosevelt Grade School where in the second grade she met her future husband Wayne. Despite going through school together and their paths crossing several times, their eyes never met. After graduating in 1966, both went on separate ways, never dating each other until later in life.

Dar was married to Douglas (Doug) Colglazier. She had two sons during the course of their marriage Jeff and David (Dave). After the marriage ended, Dar started working at the Bellingham Safeway Store in 1974. In 1980 she became a Checker Trainer for the Everett District, which included Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom Counties . She enjoyed her job and was loved by everyone she met. She reconnected with Wayne who had two sons, Jeff and Brad, from his first marriage. They were married in 1979 forming a blended family. She retired in 2004 after 30 years with Safeway. This allowed her the opportunity to spend more time with her husband, Grand Children and family.

Dar was always a loving mother and worked hard to insure that all her sons felt they had her equal love, understanding and devotion. Dar was an extremely wonderful wife, making her husband feel that her entire life revolved around him, which it did. She was on her game when she was making feasts for the whole family or friends who came to visit. Desserts were her specialty, often bringing three desserts to a gathering of just four. She was the happiest during Christmas while shopping for the Grandkids, taking special care to make sure they received equal gifts, and along with preparing their favorite foods.

She enjoyed camping, hiking and reading a good book including the bible that she read cover to cover several times. Each time she came closer to the Lord Jesus Christ who saved her soul and stayed with her until the end of her time here on earth.

She is a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church , where she has served as an AWANA Leader and a Deaconess for several years.

Proceeded in death by father Wayne Shroll, stepfather Clifford B. Southard and sister Dixie Whitefield.
