David E. Cartwright age 82 passed away December 03, 2008 in Mount Vernon. He was born in Stone County, AR on April 10, 1926 to David and Sarah Cartwright. Born and raised in Arkansas and then moved to Washington in 1942. He then met his wife Virginia and they married in 1945 in Yakima. They had 5 boys and 1 girl. He drove trucks and worked Logging industries until 1983 and then he retired. He enjoyed the many family dinners and especially loved his Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; oldest son Lloyd; 3 brothers Daniel Cartwright, John Cartwright and Kenneth Cartwright; 3 sister Ellen Passmore, Doris Garden and Jeannie Eagleburger. He is survived by His wife of 63 years Virginia; 1 daughter Christine (Jim) Bradburn; 4 sons Dennis (Ellen) Cartwright, Michael (Theodachia) Cartwright, Jeff( Kris) Cartwright and Greg (Tamie) Cartwright; 10 Grandchildren Billy Jean Cartwright, Cody Bradburn, Cory Bradburn, TrisDa Barber, Gus Cartwright, Logan Cartwright, Austin Cartwright, Mathiew Cartwright, Lindsey Cartwright, Zoe Cartwright; 5 sisters Amy Butler, Mary Davison, Trudy Yochey, Donna (Cliff) Brown, Jane (Bob) Blair; 1 Brother Louis Cartwright and numerous Nieces and Nephews. And a special thank you to the staff at the Skagit Valley Kidney Center. A Graveside Service will be held Monday December 08, 2008, 1:00pm at Hawthorne Memorial Park with a potluck reception to follow in the Hawthorne Reception Room
