David Nelson Dinsmore,79, of Burlington, Washington, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024. David was born on October 20, 1944, in Morgantown, West Virginia.

David and his family moved from Red House, West Virginia in 1984 when he transferred to Burlington, Washington with General Chemical (formerly Allied Chemical) in Anacortes, Washington. He retired from General Chemical in 1992. He also worked at the Skagit Valley Herald where he officially retired in 2008.

He is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Elsie and Bernard Morton, his father and step-mother, Harry and Joan Dinsmore, and his daughter, Dena Dinsmore Gabor.

David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Deanna Dinsmore, son, David N. Dinsmore, Jr., grandchildren, David N. Dinsmore, III, Brandon Gabor, Ashley Gabor, Isabella Dinsmore and Brooklynn Dinsmore. He is also survived by his sisters, Cathryn "Nan" Dinsmore Ellis (Mike), Melody Morton Vogelbach (Brett), and brothers, Robert Dinsmore (Patty), Harry Dinsmore (Tina), and John Dinsmore (Kristin), along with several nieces and nephews.
