David R Hansen

David Hansen of Mount Vernon met Jesus face to face on Saturday, March 13, 2021.

David was born on October 31, 1936, in Warren, MN, to Ray and Esther Hansen.

In 1955, Dad heard his wife, Grace, sing on the radio and marveled at the beauty of her voice. Secretly, he wished that he could meet her. Soon afterward, he got his wish when she showed up to sing at his father's revival meeting at Church. Dad took an active approach to secure a love that sparked in his heart while listening to the radio that day. They were married, and a new generation began.

David was a hands-on kind of person. He could fix anything, and there seemed to be no limit to his ability to build or repair.

He owned and operated an auto repair business, and each of his children benefited from his willingness to hire them and teach the things he knew.

David was a mentor and loved teaching people what he knew. He willingly allowed each person to pursue his or her own vision. When someone left, he began his mentoring ministry with another, one on one.

David was also an ordained minister, filling his father's shoes in the Church when his father suffered a heart attack. David was an amazing man, filled with integrity, and sought peace wherever he went.

His wife, Grace and their oldest child, Pamela, preceded his death.

By going to heaven, David leaves behind His brother, Nathan and his wife Linda, his sister Mercille and her husband Gary, his seven children, Mike, Tim (Liz), Paul, Daniel (Teresa), Melody (Cecil), Vikki (Cory), and Joel. He also leaves a legacy of 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
