Delores Boykin, 84, of Sedro Woolley, WA, passed away on July 16, 2026.

Delores Pritchett was born August 26, 1941, on Route 4 in Grand Junction, Colorado, to Lilly Mae Bunch and William Pritchett. The family was traveling from Eminence, Missouri to Lynden, Washington, and settled there in 1942. She attended school in Custer, Meridian, Nooksack, and finished the 10th grade at Lynden High School. On July 27, 1958, she married the love of her life, William E. Boykin.

Delores worked as a grafter at Congdon Orchards in Yakima, WA, waitressed throughout Whatcom County, and later worked softcount at Nooksack River Casino.

She was a lifelong sports lover, having played softball in her school years. As an adult, she never missed a chance to watch football and baseball, cheering on the Seahawks and the Mariners. She had a deep love for country music. Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, and Tom Jones were some of her favorites. She also enjoyed reading, puzzle games, and classic western movies.

Delores was known for her quiet kindness, understanding, generosity, and love. She was never one to waste breath on mean words.

She is survived by her sister, Donna Bremer (Medical Lake, WA); her sister, Shirley Pen (Lynden, WA); her son, Michael Boykin and his wife Jill (Everson, WA); her daughter, Anita Cunningham (Sedro Woolley, WA); and her daughter, Verilee Boykin (Ferndale, WA).

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Boykin; her son, Jeffrey O. Boykin; and nine of her eleven siblings.

Delores is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Dexter, Milan, Anthony, KC, Erick, Nicki, Brittney, and Jeffery; and her 20 great-grandchildren.
