On July 20, 2023 Desmond "Dez" Rogers, 29, was sent to heaven to be an angel.

Dez is survived by his mother Heidi Hart (Michael), his father Keith Rogers (Colleen), his step parents Scott Olsen (Natalie) his sister Kiana Olsen (Jake), His brothers Trenton Olsen (Claira), and Skyler Olsen (Tina) and his youngest siblings Mila, Trinity, and Aiden.

Desmond proposed to Krista McKay and he had planned on a wedding next June.

Desmond's daughter Olive was the light of his life.

Dez is also survived by his grandparents Maleta Self, Deborah Peacock-Graber, and Ronald and Janice Jensen,and  Priscilla Edson as well as his great grandparents David and Leona Self and Mary and AJ Dionne. Dez had countless Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and friends.

Desmond graduated from Burlington-Edison High School. He pursued music and art while he worked mainly as a fork lift operator.

Desmond was full of life and love. He gave the greatest hugs and would do anything for anybody. He loved the beauty of the outdoors and his daughter Olive was his greatest gift.

Though Desmond is not with us, this isn't goodbye. Dez will live among us in our hearts and our minds. Dez will be that soft breeze around us, that shiny rock we find, the sunlight on our face, and the rain to wash away our pain. You will live forever with us Dez. We love you immensely.
