Donna grew up on the beautiful Benham family dairy farm in Clear Lake, Washington outside of Mt. Vernon where she also passed at age 84. Donna enjoyed singing and was a part of school choirs, plays and in later years a church choir, The Posse. She graduated from Sedro Woolley High School in 1947. On June 11, 1949 she married Wilson Dean Crawford of Sedro Woolley. They were married for 61 years until his passing in 2010. Donna and Wilson enjoyed family trips to Big Bar Lake in Canada, camping with friends at Conconully, Ft. Casey, Potlatch and cruises to Alaska and Hawaii. She worked at the former Northern State Hospital, and was a teacher's aide for many years at Mary Purcell Elementary School in Sedro Woolley. She enjoyed making crafts, crocheting and most of all spending time and love with family and friends. She is survived by her son, Michael Crawford and partner Brent Herrmann, granddaughters Shelby and Kylie Crawford, sister-in-laws Sybil Benham and Evelyn Hyatt, and nieces and nephews Steve and Jeff Benham, David and Gary Crawford, Judy Stean and Carole Hyatt and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilson Crawford, her parents Mervin and Joy Benham, and her brother Eldon Benham. Donna requested there be no public memorial service. She asked that her family and friends only have fond memories of her, and attend a church of their choice this Sunday to say a prayer in remembrance of her.
