On April 23, 2016 our precious mother, Eldora LaCount went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born June 27, 1923 in Rugby, North Dakota to Wilmun and Florence Brossard. She lived the majority of her life in Washington. She was married to Fred for 48 years. They built a beautiful home in Auburn Washington and resided there for 34 years. In 2002 they moved to Burlington Washington and lived there for 14 years.

Eldora worked as a receptionist, switch board operator and a housewife. Her special interests included oil painting, swimming, bicycling, organizing social events for the church and teaching bible studies. She traveled to many countries over the years, but her favorite was the Hawaiian Islands.

Eldora was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother who instilled values and a faith in Christ that will live on in her extensive family.

Of the 12 Brossard children born to Wilmun and Florence, 10 have preceded Eldora in death. She is survived by one brother, Ken Brossard, 2 daughters, Carol Barbo and Lorraine Smith, 2 step-sons, Fred & Doyle LaCount, 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

The Family would like to thank the staff of Creekside Continuing Care Community and Hospice of the Northwest for the excellent care and compassion for Eldora.

There will be a viewing at Hawthorne Funeral Home in Mount Vernon on Tuesday May 3 from Noon until 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday May 4 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 4th at 2:00 pm at Creekside Continuing Care Community in Burlington Washington.

The graveside service will be at Bonnie Watson Washington Memorial Cemetery in Sea Tac Washington on Saturday May 7th at 1:00 pm.
