Elsie Irene Knutsen, 91, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024, in Sedro Woolley, WA.  Elsie was born in Petersburg, AK on July 24, 1932, to Edward and Ingeborg Thorsen.  She graduated from Petersburg High School.  She met the love of her life Fred Knutsen and the two were married in 1953.

Elsie had many hobbies and interests including playing bingo at the Elks Club.  She and Fred enjoyed going on cruises together and especially loved the trip they took through the Panama Canal.  They also loved being snowbirds and spending their winters in Yuma, AZ.

Elsie is survived by her daughters Lori and Thomas Davidson, Kristi and Lonnie Dellinger and son Fred Knutsen Jr. and his significant other Colleen O'Dell.  She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Jeff and Jessica Davidson, Chris Davidson, Jonathon Fode, and Stephanie Fode, as well great-grandchildren Nolan, Cole, Ella, Dustin and Dylan.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ingeborg Thorsen. She was also preceded in death by her husband Fred Knutsen Sr.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 1:00pm at Hawthorne Memorial Park, Mount Vernon, WA.
