Ember Lee Spurgeon

Ember was born January 10, 1947 in Sedro Woolley, WA to Kenneth and Jessie (Hines) Yates; she passed away July 18, 2026 at her home in Sedro Woolley surrounded by her family. She married Robert Spurgeon July, 25, 1966. Ember worked as a waitress for many years. In 1986 she attended cosmetology school where she then worked in various salons. In 1994 she moved to Longview, WA with her husband and son. In 2002 they all returned to Sedro Woolley, where she continued to work as a hair stylist. She loved cooking, baking and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her son Ricky in 1990 and her husband Robert in 2021. She is survived by her daughter: Corinna (Esteban) Garcia; son: Robert Cain (Mary) Spurgeon all of Sedro Woolley; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 31, 2026, 12:00 pm at Hawthorne Memorial Park, 1825 E College Way, Mount Vernon with a reception to follow.
