IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Enrique "Henry"
Hernandez-Delgado
September 13, 2024
Enrique "Henry" will be remembered as a loving and caring father and grandfather, the most hardworking person his sons knew with an infectious laugh that his three sons inherited. He is survived by wife Irma, sons Enrique Jr (Ruby), Heriverto (Sinai), Antonio and granddaughter Gemma, as well as his three brothers and two sisters. Enrique immigrated to the United States in 1978 and he started working at Maplewood Farms in the early 80's where he did work in equipment maintenance and planted potatoes in Skagit county for over 40 years.
His co-workers will remember him for his willingness to help and always being happy to be there. In the early 90's he started pursuing spiritual goals and after receiving a Bible study with the Jehovah's Witnesses decided to dedicate his life to Jehovah God and teach others his new found faith about God's promise of a paradise earth. He talked to many people about God and dedicated time and resources to helping his congregation. Serving the lord was his goal for a long time.
Enrique waited patiently and by 2019 his focused changed again, to become the best grandpa (Tata) he could be. He spent almost all his weekends entertaining his granddaughter and spoiling her as much as possible. One of his last memorable and loving actions was making sure to be present for his granddaughter's first day of kindergarten. Enrique raced home to make sure to be with her until the bus arrived and made sure to be home when the bus came back. His granddaughter was happy and excited that her Tata was present for her special day.
All families have their ups and downs but we are certain God will never forget all of his hard work and dedication to his family (Hebrews 6:10).
His friends and family will miss him tremendously.
A funeral service will be held Monday, September 23, 2024, 2:00PM at Hawthorne Funeral Home followed by a reception in the Hawthorne Reception Room.
