Evelyn Marie Berentson passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA.

Evelyn was born May 30, 1942, in Lexington, NE to parents Ed and Marjorie Vrana. She married her first husband Harvey Moena in 1956. They had 4 children, Diana Kurtz, Ronnie Moena, Connie Carpenter, and Mark Moena.

In 1985 Evelyn married Oliver Berentson. She gained 2 stepchildren; Cheryl Felt and Brian Berentson. She had 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren who knew her as "Grammie".

Evelyn enjoyed being a grandmother and great-grandmother, she had an entire wall in her house that displayed pictures of all of them. She enjoyed baking and sharing her goodies at Christmas time, painting ceramics, and holding annual get togethers for family.

Evelyn is survived by her children Diana (Byron) Kurtz, Ronnie Moena, Connie Carpenter, Mark Moena, stepdaughter Cheryl (Chris) Felt, daughter-in-law Marlaine Berentson, her sister Barbara Rohman, her grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is proceeded in death by her husband Oliver, her parents Ed and Marjorie, sister Lola, brother Jesse, nephew Dana, and stepson Brian.

Per Evelyn's request there will be no funeral or memorial service. Her only wish was to be laid to rest next to Oliver in the Greenhill's Memorial Cemetery in Burlington, WA.
