Christine was born December 22, 1945 in Concrete Washington and died on February 20, 2021 in Burlington Washington. She graduated high school in 1964 and married David Gustafson that same summer, together they had three children. They moved to New Mexico in 1972, moved back to Skagit Valley in 1975, and they divorced in 1981. She worked for the Skagit Valley Housing Authority for 20 years until she retired in 2009. Christine married Dave Perry in 1988, and they were married until 2016, when Dave passed away.

Chris loved baking, especially her famous chocolate chip cookies that she loved giving as gifts. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and quilting and made many beautiful gifts. She also loved collecting lighthouses. Christine was an active member of her Jehovah's Witness faith and served as a full-time volunteer minister after she retired until her health no longer allowed her to do so.

Christine was preceded in death by her father Alvin Godfrey, her mother, Virginia Godfrey, her husband, Dave Perry and an infant grandson, Travis Michael.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Wagner (Seattle), daughter, Andrea Johnson (Fresno, California), son, David R. Gustafson (Camano Island), brother, Lynn Godfrey (Texas), ten grandchildren, Amber Brown, Trevor Johnson, Emily Nicol, Ashton Moore, Spencer Moore, Nick Gilstrap, Chloe Gustafson, Emma Perry, Dominic Haney, Jackson Gustafson, and seven great grandchildren, Elanor, Benjamin, Eloise, Samuel, Samantha, Violet,  and Olivia.
