Obituary

Frances Geraldine Secord, known lovingly to all as Jerre, was born July 5, 1935, in Seattle, Washington, and passed away in her home in Mount Vernon, Washington, on January 28, 2026.

Jerre was the heart of her family—a true matriarch whose presence anchored generations. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She filled each role with love, strength, and unwavering dedication. Jerre was preceded in death by her beloved husband Warren Secord and her sister Teddy Pizzichemi. She is survived by her brother Dan Ahks; her children Ray Tibeau Jr. and Melinda Rauch; their father Ray Tibeau Sr.; her seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, with another baby soon to join the family she cherished so deeply.

A true renaissance woman, Jerre approached life with boundless curiosity and remarkable talent. Times were hard when she was a young woman. That challenged her to find ways to make our home beautiful and fun. Her creativity knew no limits—you might find her absorbed in a good book, sewing attractive clothing, crafting seasonal decorations, designing home décor, or even building a rock wall by hand. She had a rare ability to imagine something wonderful and then bring it to life. One of her proudest accomplishments was designing the dream home she and Warren built on Lake Tapps. It became a gathering place for family holidays, celebrations, and countless treasured memories.

Jerre lived fully and worked passionately. She embraced every project with a keen eye for detail and a standard of excellence that inspired everyone around her. She didn't shy away from hard work—in fact she thrived on it—and she passed that work ethic on to those she loved.

One of Jerre's greatest shared joys was stock car racing, a passion she and Warren enjoyed together for many years. In addition to running Secord Tire in Kent, Washington they traveled to races throughout the region supplying race tires and becoming a respected presence within the racing community. It was a life they built together rooted in teamwork, adventure, and shared purpose.

Jerre was an encourager above all else. She inspired her family to take on challenges, express themselves creatively, and believe deeply in their own potential. She celebrated every success with enthusiasm and met every setback with steady unwavering support. Nothing brought her more joy than watching her grandchildren—and now her great-grandchildren—grow, learn, and find their way in the world. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the confidence she instilled, and the love she gave so freely.

You will be deeply missed, Jerre. Your strength, creativity, and love will remain with us always.
