Obituary

Frederick J. Knutsen, Sr. Frederick J. Knutsen, Sr. passed away October 27, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Fred was born August 6, 1931 in Seattle, Washington. Fred graduated from Ballard High School in 1949. He joined the Air force in 1950. He met and married his beloved wife of 58 years in 1953 in Petersburg, Alaska. While in the Air Force he served in North Africa. Fred and Elsie came back to Seattle where he worked for Western Electric and a milkman before moving to Mount Vernon, buying his oil business. Fred then went on to work at Sound Beverage Distributors where he retired. He was a member of the Elks #1604, American Legion, VFW, Eagles and Moose. Fred liked fishing, hunting, camping and loved Husky football. Fred & Elsie loved traveling especially heading south to Yuma, AZ to be with friends at Sun Sands. They were snowbirds. He was preceded in death by Christian & Mildred Knutsen. He is survived by his wife Elsie, Daughter Lori and Husband Tom Davidson, Daughter Kristi and significant other Lonnie Dellinger, son Fred Knutsen Jr. and fiancé Colleen O'Dell, 4 grandchildren (Jeff Davidson and wife Jessica, Chris Davidson, Jonathon Fode, Stephanie Fode, 1 great-grandson Nolan Davidson born on Fred's birthday. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to your favorite charity. A Celebration of Life Service for Fred will be announced at a later date.
