FREDRICK E. "RICK" HICKOX (1950 - 2012) Fredrick E. (Rick) Hickox passed away September 17, 2012 in British Columbia. Born November 21, 1950 in Elsentro, CA. He is survived by his wife, Beth (Burton) Hickox; 3 brothers, Michael Hickox, David Hickox and Shawn Hickox; children, Jami (Shannon) Hickox White, Julia (Berry) Hickox Ross, Shelby Hickox, and son, Adam Hickox; step-children, Janey Dodge, Adam Dodge and Levi Dodge; 5 grandchildren, Mariah, Logan, Tarkin, Kodiak and Talon and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Donald Hickox and Norma (Slattery) Hickox. Rick was and avid golfer and member of Avalon Golf Club. He loved fishing, time with family and friends and laughing at life. Rick worked at Shellan Jewelers for many years before purchasing in 2006 with wife and partner Beth. He will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 28, 2012, 3:00pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home, 1825 E. College Way, Mount Vernon with a reception to follow in the Hawthorne Reception Room.
