Gail Schell, of Seattle, Washington, passed away peacefully in her home on October 22, 2015 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Her husband Rick was at her side at the time of her passing. Gail loved spending time with her family and friends, taking road trips, reading and teaching. She also loved cats, Christmas and Neil Diamond. She wasn't fond of tattoos or cooking. Throughout her life, Gail loved to be on the road with her family, either to a new or beloved location. She traveled to all 50 states and visited nearly every point of interest in the United States. When she wasn't on the road, Gail was probably reading with Romeo at her side, listening to Neil Diamond or decorating the house for the holidays. Few artificial Christmas trees in history have featured as many ornaments as Gail's. Gail taught for 34 years, mostly the 2nd grade, and mostly in the Northshore school district. She was known as a disciplinarian, but was frequently thanked by former students and told that even though she was tough, she was one of their favorite teachers. Gail was a loving wife and mother. She left us too soon and will be missed.
