George F. Koley died March 12, 2014. He was born April 16, 1935 in Omaha, NE, son of Peter and Alverda Koley, both deceased. His survivors are his loving wife Caroline whom he married in 1962 and four sons, Peter (Cristina) and their daughters Chiara and Martina of Switzerland; Mark (Alison) and their sons Garrison and Wyatt of Wenatchee, WA; David (Nicole) and son Ryan and daughter Annina of Nanikon, Switzerland; son Matthew of Bellingham, WA. He also leaves behind a sister Loretta (Gerard) Jancoski of Issaquah, WA; brother in law Charles Deibele (Denise); sister in law Rosemary Schaefer (John); sister in law Mary Ann (Abbie deceased); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Dolores O'Leary, her husband John, brother James Koley and his wife Patricia. George lived in Omaha until enrolling at Marquette University where he received his mechanical engineering degree. He worked for Louis Allis Co. in Milwaukee, WI and Appleton, WI until 1970 when he was transferred to the Pacific Northwest. In 1980 he started Koley Engineered Products in Issaquah, WA. In 2000 he moved to Port Ludlow, WA where he lived until moving to Mount Vernon, WA in 2009. George was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his love of family and life. His greatest joys were spending time with his family and friends, fishing, hunting, camping, skiing and golfing. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the caregivers and staff at Birchview Memory Care for all their kind and loving care given George and to Hospice for all their services. There will be a 12:15 PM funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 100 South 5th St., Mount Vernon, WA at 12:15 PM on Friday, March 21, 2014.
