101 years old, passed away peacefully at home with his daughter by his side.
Born December 19, 1923, to Axel and Grace Petersen of Vashon Island, Washington.
He grew up on Vashon Island and with his older Sister and Brother, He worked the family business England & Petersen Feed and Lumber.
He graduated from Vashon Island High School and then Graduated from the University of Washington with a Business Degree.
In 1953 he married the love of his life Joan. They moved to Seattle where he was Vice President at Lincoln First Federal Savings and Loan.
In August of 1962, He became the Vice President and Manager for Skagit County Savings and Loan Association, and moved his wife and 2 children to Burlington, Washington.
In 1973, he accepted the position and became the Skagit County PUD Auditor. Where he remained until his retirement in 1991.
In his retirement he loved Gardening, Golfing, fishing with his Son and Grandson, and the University of Washington Huskies.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Joan M Petersen of 62 years, and his Son Jeffrey H Petersen
He is survived by his daughter Kaye (Raul) Guajardo for Arlington, WA
Daughter in Law Mattie Petersen Mt. Vernon, WA
Grandson Ian W. Petersen (fiancée, Marina Valle) Mt. Vernon, WA
Great Grandson Axel H Petersen
