Gerald Kenneth Hageman April 20, 1928 - April 23, 2021
Gerald (Jerry) Hageman passed away peacefully April 23rd, 3 days after his 93rd birthday. He was born April 20, 1928 and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1946. He worked as a machinist helper for 3 years in various salmon canneries in Alaska. He married Betty Gillette in 1948. In 1950 he began working in the trucking industry for White Star Moving and later for ONC Freight Lines where he retired in 1970. In his retirement years he drove for Skagit Transit. He loved traveling, camping, fishing steelhead on the Skagit River and teaching the importance of conservation. He was a collector of vintage British cars including an MG-TD, Jaguars XK, 120, XKE and Mark V. Jerry was also an accomplished Magician during and after high school which he passed the art onto his son Kenneth.
He is survived by his son Kenneth Hageman and daughter-in-law Karin Teller Hageman. Jerry was proud of his 2 grandsons, Brian (wife Brandi) and Geoffrey Hageman and his 4 great grandchildren Brooke, Blake, Luke and Henry. A private family celebration of his life is planned.
Memorials may be given to Hospice.
