Obituary

Geraldine Louise Davis, age 82, passed away on January 17, 2024, after a long battle with kidney and heart disease. She was born April 15, 1941, in Seattle, WA.

"Gerri", as she liked to be called, spent her early life in Washington and Alaska. Later, she moved to California with her husband before moving back to be near her children and her beloved state, Washington.

She and her family had a long history in the commercial fishing industry in Washington and Alaska.

Gerri was an excellent seamstress; she also had an extensive knowledge of classic movies and actors. Gerri also mastered the art of calligraphy. She absolutely loved country western music and the songs of the 1940's. Gerri had an excellent singing voice herself.

"Ger", as she was also called, worked many years at the Bon Marche, Nordstrom, and as a department manager. Gerri also modeled and met her best friend Jan while modeling atop of the Space Needle many years ago.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Sabrina Aqtarap.

She is survived by her sister, Kathy Drabek; daughters, Ginger Austin, Shawna Austin, and Janine Austin; by six grandchildren, Alisha, Roberto, Lorenza, Austin, Sam, and Spence; five great grandchildren, Mateo, Isaiah, Serenity, Laurence, and Ciara; as well as on great, great grandchild, Riot.

Gerri is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Harry B. Davis, of Mount Vernon, WA, and her little dog Lexie.

A Memorial Internment will be held at Hawthorne Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, WA, service information to be announced at a later date.
