Helen Louise Berge Helen was born December 23, 1920 in Woodward, OK to Bert and Grace Elliott; she passed away July 6, 2009 in Seattle. Helen graduated from Redlands High School in 1938. Shortly after graduating she was proud to serve her Country as a teletype operator during WWII. Helen married Raymond Berge April 21, 1950 in Redlands, California. Helen and Raymond raised their 3 children in Redlands, CA until moving to Beaumont, CA for retirement. Raymond passed away in 2000, Helen then moved to Mount Vernon in 2001 to be closer to family. Helen loved to paint and garden. She had a great love for Jesus. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 4 brothers. She is survived by her children: Steven Berge, Lyle Berge, Susan (Doug) Stokes; one grandson; Larry (Cassandra) Stokes; one great-granddaughter: Julianna Stokes; sister: Marion (Hal) Wallace; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, July 13, 2009, 2:00 pm at the Skagit Baptist Church in Sedro Woolley with Pastor Vic Cline officiating. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA
