Howard Royal age 97, passed away December 18, 2013 in Everett, WA. He was born September 16th, 1916 at Carrolls, WA. At age seven he moved to Skagit Valley with his family and attended grade school at Birdsview, WA. Howard started working in the timber industry at age seventeen, living in several Oregon and Washington communities. He married Jackie Lou Bartel on November 14th, 1962 in the Dalles, Oregon, and they lived there until moving to the Everett area in 1969. Howard retired in June of 1982 from his job as an assembly machinist for Western Gear and Evergreen Industries. There will be a graveside service for Howard at Hawthorne Memorial Park on Friday, December 27th at 11 a.m. Prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. there will be a closed casket viewing where visitors may pay their respects.
