Jack Henry Theisen died with a rosary reciting and our Savior near his heart on January 8, 2017. He was born to Henry Jacob and Margaret (Straka) Theisen on December 17, 1933. Jack was the first child born followed by Marlene Nouwens, Arnold Theisen, and Judy Dodd. Jack graduated from Mt. Baker High School in 1951. A few years after he graduated he was drafted in the U.S. Army for the Korean War. He was stationed in Japan. He had many friends overseas. Jack retired when the Anacortes Plywood Mill shutdown. He didn't stay retired very long as the sister Angela McCarthy asked him to be a custodian at the Immaculate Conception School in Mt. Vernon. The school children were a blessing for Jack. Jack and Carla (Holden) married in October 6, 1973. They had many relatives and friends. We would like to thank Darlene Demello and her family for all the loving caring times with Jack. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Jack is preceded in death by his father, mother, and wife Carla. Jack leaves behind his nephews, nieces, Uncle Wayne Weaver, and Aunt Florence LaCasse and all family members and special friends.

Services will be held in Immaculate Conception Church of Mount Vernon. Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 26, 2017. Mass will be at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow at St. Joseph Center after mass. Committal prayers on January 27, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery.
