Jim was born March 21, 1947 in Madera, CA to Everett and Alene Wood; he passed away June 13, 2010 in Everett, WA. Jim grew up in Mount Vernon. At the age of 18 Jim joined the United States Marine Corps. Jim retired from the USMC in 1987. During this time Jim married Nancy in 1970. Jim enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Jim is survived by his wife, Nancy; children: Michael and Melissa; grandchildren; Zachery, Sadie and Courtney; siblings: Gary, Carol and Linda. A Celebration of Jim's life will be held Friday, June 18, 2010, 11:00 am at Hawthorne Funeral Home, with a reception to follow in the Hawthorne Reception Room. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a Cancer Charity of your choice.
