Janice Ann (Gloppen) Dunnigan age 74, passed away on October 31, 2022, in Mount Vernon, WA.

Janice was born on November 21, 1947 to Leo and Mary Gloppen. Janice grew up in Bellingham, WA and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1965. Janice enjoyed ballet and spending time with her cousins and extended family. Janice met the love of her life, Michael Dunnigan, during her high school years. Janice married Michael in 1969 and had one child, Kimberly. After living in Lynnwood and Bellingham, they moved to Mount Vernon in 1972, where they made their home for the next 50 years.

Janice was an amazing devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Family was the focus of her life. Janice is known for her kindness, welcoming spirit and beautiful smile that warmed any room. She provided comfort and solace while asking for little in return.

Janice worked in retail sales until her early 60's. After retirement, Janice spent time doing the things she loved. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fly fishing with her husband, golf and traveling to Utah to spend time with her beloved grandchildren. Janice loved the holidays with her family.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Mary Gloppen.

Janice is survived by her husband, Michael Dunnigan. By her daughter and son in-law, Kimberly and Dean Anderson. And her two grandchildren, Hailey and Emily Ryann Anderson.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church located at 400 N. 15th Street, Mount Vernon, WA on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 12:15pm, followed by a graveside and reception at Hawthorne Funeral Home and Memorial Park located at 1825 East College Way, Mount Vernon, WA.
