IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janice
Schroder
August 15, 1944 – September 24, 2017
Janice passed away lovingly and peacefully to her God in Heaven, surrounded by her family September 24, 2017 in Sedro Woolley.
As a Burlington native had a long history in Washington, beginning with her family's fine furnishing store-Vandeman's. Janice was an elementary student at Lucille Umbarger and an accomplished graduate of B-EHS in 1962. She went onto further education at Seattle University before beginning her family role as a mother of four children.
Janice had a terrific wit enhanced by her intelligence, love of literature (never me a book she didn't read) and a passion for the piano and political debates.
She was an inspiration to her 11 grandchildren as the family enjoyed summers together at Samish Island where she thrived on provoking thought in the minds of her little ones while baking and enjoying the Mount Baker views from North beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Sunny Jim and Jessie Vandeman; and sister Linda Vandeman White.
Her memory lives on with her family, she is survived by son: Marty and D'Ann Schroder and their children: Emma and GraceAnn; daughters: Mari and Jeff Monroe and their children: Blake, Megan and Sophia, Sarah and James VonHipple and their children: Evan and Gracie, Angie Schroder-Cavanaugh-Watson and Brad Watson and their children: Tate, Lauren, Bennet, Will and Chad; nephew: James Sheer. A celebration will take place at a later date.Visits: 0
