IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jean
Pearson
March 27, 1939 – February 1, 2024
3/27/1939-2/1/2024
Arletta Jean Pearson, 84, of Mount Vernon, WA passed away on February 1, 2024. Jean was born March 27, 1939, to Alettha and Henry Nelson.
She grew up in Stanwood, attending Stanwood schools. Jean graduated from Stanwood High School in 1957. Jean's first job was at Jim Hanson's mercantile. She learned many skills that were well suited to her as she loved socializing with people. She was approached By Doc Wheeler to come work at his dentistry office, which she did eagerly. Another chance to learn skills and be around people.
Jean met and fell in love with Ronald Pearson and the two were married on June 14, 1958. Ron built their home on Bulson Road in Conway, Washington. They returned home from their honeymoon to a beautiful new home.
Their son Troy was born on October 8, 1959. Daughter Dana followed October 26, 1962. The family was complete.
Jean had lifelong friends which she treasured and saw often. She loved people and knew no stranger.
She loved boats, fast loud cars, and motorcycles. She enjoyed being on the water, whether it be water-skiing, fishing, or crabbing or simply boating with friends in the San Juans.
When grandson Tyler stated he wanted to go camping in the woods, the vision changed, and a 5th wheel trailer was purchased. Trips to Thousand Trails, and surrounding camping areas were visited often. New adventures began.
Jean always had a twinkle in her eye, and a smile on her face. She often enjoyed shopping and lunches with her girlfriends.
When Ron retired it was often commented, she and Ron were joined at the hip. They went for rides, out to lunch and visited friends. Garage sales were a common interest.
She leaves her son, Troy Pearson. Grandson Tyler Pearson. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Judy Hargreaves, and her children, Myron, Rhonda, Von and Mark as well as cousin, Pat Kallstrom, and many other cousins in the area.
She was preceded in death by Her husband Ron, and daughter Dana.
Her life was a life well lived!
