IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jerry
Kopp
May 28, 1951 – January 2, 2026
Jerry Kopp, 74, passed away on January 2, 2026. Born May 28, 1951, Jerry grew up in Mount Vernon and graduated from Mount Vernon High School.
Jerry did life his way. He loved golf, especially an early tee time and a fast round, and he took real pride in his collection of "rescued" high end golf balls. He also enjoyed pool and poker, always bringing a competitive streak and plenty of humor.
He worked for years at his parents' store, D & D Grocery, and later owned Money Hut and Shooters Tavern. Jerry had a soft spot for his "pets", feeding squirrels, birds, chipmunks, and especially his favorite raccoons.
The ocean was his happy place, returning often to Lincoln City, Oregon for beach walks and total relaxation. He appreciated local art and loved bringing home something from his travels. Just five days before he passed, he returned with a wood carved pelican from Lincoln City.
Known for his sharp sports bets, big heart, and memorable laugh, Jerry will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by his parents, Don and Dorothy Kopp, Jerry is survived by his partner, Alana Sparks, sisters Gloria Carbert (Jerry Carbert) and Patti Dickson, brother Rick Kopp (Barb), and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at Eagles in Burlington on February 22 from 1 to 4 PM
