John Ronald Gronemyer age 88, passed away June 28th, 2024, in Sedro Woolley, WA.  He was born April 1st, 1936, in Wichita, Kansa. In 1944 he moved with his family to Sedro Woolley.  He graduated from Sedro Woolley High school in 1954 and then married his high school sweetheart Nancy Arlene Wade in 1955.  John worked for Continental Telephone Company as a cable splicer until his retirement.  He was an usher and on the Maintenance crew for Bethlehem Lutheran Church.  John was an avid rock collector and enjoyed owning and showing his classic cars, winning many awards.  He was a long-time member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sedro Woolley.  John was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy and his son John Rickey.  He is survived by his children, Teresa (Roy) Bever, Sondra "Sandy" (Tony Elhert) Gronemyer, Russell (Bonnie) Gronemyer, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 sisters, nieces and nephews.  Memorials may be made in John's name to the Bethlehem Lutheran Maintenance Crew.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, 2:00pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 1006 Wicker Rd, Sedro Woolley.
