Obituary

John "Scott" Martin, 63, of Mount Vernon, Washington, passed away July 20 th , 2021.

He was born in Port Angeles, Washington on May 12 th , 1958.  Scott graduated from Mariner High School in 1976, where he was very active in playing baseball and football.  He married to his beautiful wife, Caroline, on an island in Hawaii.

Scott treasured time with his family.  He especially enjoyed taking trips with Caroline on his Harley.  Another highlight for Scott was trips to Hawaii with his wife and in-laws.

Scott was a "jack-of-all-trades".  He was known for being able to fix just about everything that was brought to him.  Woodworking and working on his home were enjoyable pastimes.

Rain, sun or snow, Scott loved the outdoors and took every opportunity to spend time in nature.  Camping was a favorite activity!

Most of all, Scott was a person of honor and believed strongly in loyalty.  His favorite saying was, "Say what you mean and mean what you say."  He was known as "Mr. Mellow" and was loved by everyone whom he met. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Caroline; son, Josh; daughter, Melissa; brother, Frank Martin; sister, Michelle Veturis (Mark Veturis); Grandchildren Preston and Maddylan; parents-in-love, Allan and Patricia Moyer; stepdaughters, Kassandra and Jessica. He also has numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.

I will always have great memories of the greatest man I ever knew. Thank you for always being you. I love you so much and will miss you always. Love you son, Josh.

To the dad who made sure I was in top of his world. You will never be forgotten. I know you are watching me shine from up above. I love you dad. Forever your little girl, Melissa.
