Obituary

Jonna Zieber, known by those who loved her most as "Joni", "Yama Joni", and "Grandma" was born April 11, 1954 in Nampa, Idaho and passed away April 11, 2021 at her residence. She graduated from Valley View High School in Nampa, Idaho in 1972 and married John Zieber the same year. They had three children together. She graduated from Skagit Valley College in 1991 and Western Washington University in 1994. She worked for Catholic Community Services for 20 plus years and retired in 2017, afterward she visited the Panama Canal. Her retirement was spent helping family and friends.

Jonna loved gardening, weaving (a member of the Weaving Guild), walking, Zumba, grandkids, traveling and hiking. She loved to travel, often going with family, but took many trips alone. She also loved sewing and would make towels and hats and donate them to different organizations. She loved cooking for and being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald E. Williams, parents, Calvin and Phyllis Sparks and Margaret and Donald Williams and her husband, Russell Rawls.

She is survived by sisters, Cindy Vogel, Sandy Taggart, Joanne Smith, and Vickie Johnson; children, Tanya Sparks, Sondra Zieber and Jeremy Zieber; grandkids, Jordan, Shania, Baker, Adam, J.D., and Bryce.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 17 th , 2021 at 11:00 AM at Hawthorne Memorial Park, Mount Vernon, WA with a potluck to follow at 1314 Henson Court Sedro Woolley, WA 98284.
