Jose Huerta 62 years old, from Mount Vernon, WA passed away May 26th 2025 at 10:17am in Seattle, WA at Virginia Mason Hospital.  Jose was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, and brother. He was well known in the community as "Mr. Huerta" working for Mount Baker Middle school from 2002-2014. Jose also worked public and private events in Skagit County as security for family owned business known as Skagit Eagle Security.  He is survived by his children, Josie, Jose, Andy, Selina, Anthony, and Daniel. As well as siblings; Alex, Gloria, Jessie, Freddie and Jaun. Jose was preceded in death by his mom Beda Hernandez and father Jesus Huerta and brother Tony. Through heartbreak and struggles he faced he remained a fighter. Jose always believed everything happens for a reason, God carried his faith to continue moving forwards not backwards.  Jose and family would like to invite anyone who would like to see him one last time to join us Saturday, May 31st, 2025, at Hawthorne Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, WA for viewing from 11:00am until 1:00pm and a service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.
