Josephine Mannon passed away Oct. 25, 2009 at her home in Sedro Woolley. She was born April 20, 1925, in Haysprings, Nebraska. When she was a young girl her family moved to Colorado, where she met and married Lloyd Mannon on Oct. 29, 1940 in Colorado. They moved to Skagit Valley in 1942. They owned and operated the Mobil Service Station in Sedro Woolley, the Riverside Apts. in Mount Vernon and the Rio Rancho Trailer Court in Burlington. She attended the Church of God of Prophecy. Going to Mariner games, movies, church, road trips, supporting kids and grandkids in their sports were the things that made her happy. She is survived by daughters Linda Mills of Sedro Woolley, Mary & (Don) Knoblick of Spanaway, sons, Bill & (Linda) Mannon of Everett, Vernon & (Carolyn) Mannon of Bothell, Paul Mannon of Sedro Woolley and David & (Kelli) Mannon of Bow, niece Carol Sweet and 20 Grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lloyd, daughters Betty Goetz and Donna Lewellen, grandson Larry "Mike" Kemp, son-in-law Mike Mills and Steve Lewellen and several brothers and sisters. Viewing will be held Friday, October 30, 2009 9:00 am until 5:00 pm and Saturday October 31, 2009 Noon until the Funeral Service, 2:00 pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home with Graveside Service to follow at Hawthorne Memorial Park.
